Fayette County Georgia Teen Party Ends In Shooting Death. Sadly, These Are Black Folks Involved Who Brought The Ghetto To Their Flight Location

"THEY SHOT MY BABY IN THE HEAD!"
(Who Is Making Black People Cry Today? - Part VI

1 dead, 2 wounded after party shooting in North Fayette County Georgia

Detectives seek information on suspect; party out of control after notice on MySpace, text messages

Sheriff’s detectives are working to identify the person who shot and killed a young man and wounded two others late Saturday night after an out-of-control party at a home in north Fayette County, police said.

All three victims were described as black males between the ages of 18 and 20, though none of their identities is being released yet, said sheriff’s Lt. Belinda McCastle. It is not known at this point if any of the victims lived in Fayette County or not, McCastle said.

Sheriff’s detectives are working on the case around the clock and are seeking information from anyone at the party who may have either witnessed the shooting or knows who the shooter is, McCastle said.

“We know somebody saw who the shooter was,” McCastle said.

Anyone with information is asked to call deputies at 770-461-6353, McCastle said. Deputies were able to interview some party-goers at the scene and are continuing to follow up on leads today, McCastle said.

The brazen shooting occurred as deputies were in the process of breaking up a party in the Country Lakes subdivision off Ga. Highway 279 that had “hundreds of people,” McCastle said. Moss Creek Court had cars lined on both sides of the road, leaving no room for emergency vehicles to get through, McCastle said.

The shots rang out during a fight that broke out and pandemonium ensued as people attempted to run away in multiple directions, McCastle said.

Officials believe a number of people at the party were not invited but attended after finding it listed on the MySpace website. Word of the party also spread through text messages, she said.

The party was authorized by the parents at the home, who were present during the time of the event, McCastle said. The parents have cooperated with authorities, she added.

The party grew out of hand with a large number of people inside the home, in the yard, and spilling out into the cul-de-sac, McCastle said.

Although investigators are working to determine if the shooting was gang-related, there has not yet been any indication that is the case, McCastle said.

When the shots rang out, deputies were in the process of getting people into their cars so they could leave the area, McCastle said. One of the shooting victims was taken to a local hospital by ambulance; another left the scene in a private vehicle, McCastle said.

Deputies had been called to the scene on a disturbance about 10:41 p.m., McCastle said. The party took place at 265 Moss Creek Court, she confirmed.

McCastle said the sheriff’s office was thankful for support from the Fayetteville and Clayton County police departments and also the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department.

As a frame of reference GA 279 is "Old National Highway". I suspect that this subdivision is right across the street from Evander Hollified's home. North Fayette County is a largely Black area of the otherwise White and Republican dominated Fayette County.

This story has triggered a debate on the blog for the local newspaper (see the bottom of the attached link above).

This story should not be exploited as a "nah, nah, nah, nah nah a Black person got shot" moment.

Ironcially as I type this message I am watching Al Sharpton's "Murder In Black & White" on TVOne right now. It told of the threat that Black people felt from White racists down in Mississippi as they attempted to vote while being Black.

One Black man, Lamar Smith of Brookhaven, Mississippi DIED after being shot by Whites who did not want him to vote.

Today we have a Black male who was shot in Fayette County who died FOR NOTHING!!! He died while attending a party!

It is important to talk about Fayette County Georgia in order to understand why people should be angry. Fayette County is south of Clayton county which is itself south of Fulton County, the county which houses Atlanta. Fayette County, again a Republican dominated county has served as a "safety shelter" for Black people who sought to obtain quality education, family oriented communities and SAFE COMMUNITIES that some parts of Fulton, Clayton and Dekalb did not offer.

Many of the Blacks who move into this conservative county make up the people who I call "Black Flight Progressives". They fell less threat in departing their original setting and living next to "White Conservatives" than they did in remaining in the largely Black communities that they have come from. Sadly in the case of this murder - the Thug Element has followed this family down to Fayette County.

I am angry as a Black man. About 6 years ago I saw a group of young Black people who gathered at our subdivision's pool house to BE AWARE OF WHERE THEY ARE BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT THEM. They had their filthy rap lyrics blarring from their car stereo as families, Black and White had their young children swimming. They turned down their stereo until I got far enough away. As I returned to the same scene a few weeks later these same group of young Black males were being arrested for smoking marijuanna in the same spot. They did not listen to me.

Black people have an amazing capacity to talk about what WHITE FOLKS DO TO US or where WHITE FOLKS DON'T WANT US TO BE. THEY are called "racists" for viewing us in the worst case scenario.

What should be call those of us who PROVE THEM CORRECT?

As much as this should not be blamed on RACE, it was too easy to guess upon hearing about this shooting on the radio that the shooter and the victim both were Black and that it was not some "Klan based shooting of a Black man" in Fayette County Georgia 2009.

What about the culture that many of our youth are bathed in causes them to seek to kill another person after engaging in a physical battle with them? What about the 3 people that got shot proved to be such a threat to the shooter?

The White killers of Lamar Smith were seeking to protect the order of WHITE SUPREMACY in Mississippi. What were these modern day shooters seeking to protect?

Sadly "Here they come again", which is no doubt said by some White folks in Fayette County who departed Clayton County when too many Black folks moved in has
shamefully justified with this act on Saturday night.

I'm not surprised there are no comments. This is a conversation that everyone usually shys away from unless the shooter is a white
cop. When will Black America wake up!! It does not matter if you're in Fayette, Henry,DeKalb, or
Clayton. Black men kill Black men because we as a people condone it with our silence. Look at this post! We must collectively either make the penalty so stiff and permanent Black on Black homicides
go out of style like the Flagg brothers shoes I wore as a teenager. Black men will not kill
each other if the punishment once proven is their own life. We don't do suicide the data speaks for itself.

sadly your blog is what we do not need. Why must some of you blacks highlight the worst in our communities. Take a lesson from the people in little five points. when confronted with crime they organized to confront it. they did not racialize the incident. stop this self hating black crap and try some soulutions. take a lesson from our newly elected president.
sadly your blog is what we do not need. Why must some of you blacks highlight the worst in our communities.
Malcom and Martin:

Since this is your first post on this blog I will paint the picture for you.

I am communicating in the voice of the BLACK VICTIM.....just as Ida B. Wells and so many others did in the past regarding LYNCHING,

When I listen to people like you calling me out for my focus on the BLACK VICTIMS and those who are ATTACKING THEM.......I hear them (you) DEFENDING something that they are bound to rather than defending JUSTICE.

Malcolm and Martin:
Back in the day there were plenty of racist Whites who grew irritated at the constant "complaining" from Black people who showed LYNCHINGS, Unjust "All White Juries" and Intimidation by Racists. For these Racist Whites their world view was that America Is The Shining Light and that we need to NOT TALK ABOUT THE DIRTY LAUNDRY but instead "Look at how Happy our Negroes Are" (as long as they stay in their place).

Malcolm and Martin - I will not attack you for your position but I think that you are WRONG!!

I assure you that in this all Black subdivision in North Fayette County 80% of these Black families MOVED AWAY from places that had a more favorable political alignment ON PAPER. The growing pressure of crime, questionable schools and continuing drama politically had them to move into a county that is controlled by their IDEOLOGICAL ADVERSARIES.

Please hear me out M & M - my ultimate goal is to get BLACK PEOPLE TO MAKE THE LINK!!! Look at the POLICIES and IDEOLOGIES that are POPULAR among our people and where we live in our highest concentrations but also look at how much of our PERMANENT GOALS are compromised in these same areas.

Instead of having to worry about the Klan in Republican dominated Fayette County - this young Black man was "shot in the head" by a BLACK MAN!!!

Over the weekend I purchased a "Final Call" in which they talked about "HATRED IN AMERICA" (note: it was an old copy from November 2008). They focused on 2 White men who threatened Obama who had skin head ties. The thug killers who HATED these two BLACK PEOPLE to shoot one in the head and another in the leg were not operating out of LOVE.

(For the record - it is unclear if the dead young man was the target of the shooting or if he just got hit by a stray bullet.

NONE THE LESS - some Black Thug FELT HE HAD TO DRAW A GUN AND FIRE on a residential street because he HATED the person who he was aiming at that much.

I am not sure that you have a problem with me "racializing" this. YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME TALKING ABOUT IT!!!!!

It would be just fine for me to allow this to roll off of the front pages and have me join with you when the Police, A White man or some Corporation attacks us. These are indeed more savory choices.
take a lesson from our newly elected president.
Our "Newly Elected President" did not believe that Black folks should be 'STUCK IN ALL BLACK SCHOOLS'!!!

I assure you that he has little concern about the conditions of ALL WHITE SCHOOLS.

Until we are HONEST about the lack of ability for TOO MANY of our communities and schools to FIELD AN ENVIRONMENT that produces the results that we want - this is going to continue and more of our people are going to die needlessly.

You have to understand the balance that must be made by those who I call "Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive- Fundamentalist Racism Chasers"

THEY ARE NOT going to run with a "Crime and Punishment" agenda. In doing so they will run up against their Anti-"Prison Industrial Complex" regime. They are NOT going to back policies that FILL UP JAILS WITH BLACK PEOPLE.

It is so important that we analyze this properly: The disproportionate carnage on the streets of Black America is a CONSEQUENCE of the ideological orientation of the Black community.

As Progressives - Black people are far more inclined to "expand the police tape around the crime scene" to include all of the events going back to and including SLAVERY. They answer for crime prevention is to REORIENT THE ECONOMIC ORDER OF AMERICA!!

With this "Boil The Ocean" approach this functionally ABDICATES the obligation to maintain critical control of THE COMMUNITIES THAT WE RUN. Instead there is seemingly always a "one off" solution where the ultimate blame can be put upon someone else.

At some point in time IF those who believe that the prison population is too high are going to need to INTERVENE IN THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE WHO THEIR COMMUNITY IS PRODUCING and work to turn them into a different direction.

When I criticize the lack of ORGANIC SOLUTIONS in the Black Community it is because I see that the dependency on having GOVERNMENT FUNDS THAT WERE GENERATED SOMEWHERE ELSE TO FUND OUR INTERESTS is by definition a flaw. We will focus on LEGISLATIVE movements to GIVE US WHAT WE NEED while deemphasizing the IMPACT OF WHAT WE ALLOW IN OUR COMMUNITY that work to stifle this forward movement.

It's about time for a wake up call!!! this happens sooo much in Fayetteville and everyone always thinks it's so safe there and ITS NOT!!!! Every party gets shot up, every party there's a fight, but this one somebody died. It's a shame it took this much for someone to try and take a stand and show some attention toward this matter...
