Bullet-proof vest saves Clayton officer in shooting
A Clayton County Police officer was shot Friday night and wounded when she answered a domestic disturbance call, went to a Hampton home and was confronted by a man with a .357 revolver who told her: “You think I’m playing a [expletive deleted] game?” then fired several shots, according to police reports.
The alleged shooter, Gerald Lewis Benn, 45, then took off, got into a 2003 Ford Expedition and was chased by police who caught up with him on Highway 54 just inside of Fayette County. He resisted and was tased by officers, according to the press release. They found the .357 revolver and a shotgun in his vehicle.
I do not know the race of the "attempted murderer" so I can't use the "Electrocuted While Black" motto of AfroSpear. Let's just say that thank goodness FOR THE ATTEMPTED KILLER that the Fayette County and Clayton County police forces carry tasers. Otherwise they may have had to shoot this thug dead on the scene. Only THEN would we hear protests about "the use of deadly force".
I am just happy that this female officer who was shot by a thug who some people GIVE MORE OF A DAMN ABOUT then HE clearly GAVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS OFFICER'S LIFE survived as her bullet proof vest blocked the attempted murderer's bullet from hitting any internal organs. We've had enough state funeral for murdered officers recently.
As for Clayton County....indeed the Black Democratic Establishment told us "We run things now. Things are going to be different". I have to give them credit for warning us all. I did not realize that this would cause an exodus of "Black Flight Progressives" down to the conservative dominated Fayette County.
