ST. LOUIS — Last year was the deadliest in a dozen years in St. Louis, despite a slowdown in homicides after the appointment of a new police chief in October.
And in Kansas City, the 2008 killing toll nearly broke a record for the most so far this decade.
St. Louis ended the year with 167 homicides, the highest number since 204 people were killed in 1995. Kansas City saw 126 slayings, just one shy of the 127 in 2005 — the most for any year this decade.
Some say the current economic troubles are contributing to the violence.
Some BQPFRCs always ask me "CF what are you doing about these problems other than complaining about them?"
This is rather ironic in that I see myself as going around the nation look out for BLACK VICTIMS of crime and terrorist actions. In as much as I don't see an EFFECTIVE police response, a prevailing will of political leadership to address the problem, and most importantly - a Black community that is willing to hold all of the above accountable - INCLUDING THE THUGS WHO ARE EXECUTING THE KILLING.....the answer to "What are you doing about it?" is CLEAR:
I am agitating the bigots who are normalizing this level of violence in the inner city and/or Black communities. The fact that it is mostly Black on Black homicides removes some important 'attack vectors' for the usual suspects to exploit. Thus we can safely say that they are NOT INTERESTED in the establishment of justice and safety for the Black community and the people within.
We can only say that they are interested in defending the Black community against ATTACKS BY WHITE FOLKS (cops, individual operatives and corporations).
The misaligned and perverted FUNCTIONAL consequence of their ideological bigotry and inferiorization of Black people is that if you get killed by a Black person - you just happened to get killed by the wrong person. Sorry.
