Noah, have you seen the polling data regarding Black perceptions of America? Black America, including the poor, has seen a metamorphisis in attitudes towards themselves and their beliefs. Thus, to say that Obama has not inspired blacks in the deepest pockets of the ghetto is factually incorrect.
Mark M and Noah_

I just went shopping at an all Black Wal-Mart. I saw a sea of "Hope", "Change", "Change Has Come": T-Shirts, Hats, Bumper Stickers worn by people and placed on their cars.

Your statistics on MOTIVATION DOESN'T MEAN JACK!!!

You see Mark M - you mistake MOTIVATION with the inculcation of some type of LOGISTICAL PLAN.

As I talked with my cousin today who I hadn't talked to since this past summer's family reunion he asked me what I felt about the Obama presidency.

I asked him: How does a person who 6 months ago DIDN'T TRUST THE GOVERNMENT and who thought that the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT was responsible for various diseases, conspiracies and economic suppression......just months later have so much confidence in ONE MAN that they are willing to open their legs up and say 'Take Me I Am Your Tool At Your Disposal Mr President'?"

Did anything MATERIALLY CHANGE for that person?

Or does it show the ARBITRARY level at which this person operates @?

It is increasingly obvious that some people are better off being LEAD than they can ever be expected to operate with any sort of mental independence and direction.

Where as in "Malcolm X"; the MOVIE the White police man said "No one man should have that much power" in response to X leading a disciplined set of Muslim men outside of the hospital, him fearing what an organized group of Black people could do to his White Power structure - I AM SAYING "There is no DAMNED WAY that the Black community can LOGICALLY fall in line behind this ONE MAN because it is dangerous FOR US to do so" because it is eroding so much of our cultural consciousness and INDE-DAMN-DEPENDENCE!!!

Some of you are sickening!!

If only we could look around to where the Democrats ALREADY DOMINATE Black people and see signs of UTOPIA I would be on board. Instead I see logic as WIZZ displays in which the Black Cultural Consciousness has been conjoined with the DEMOCRATIC PARTY. Wizz and others believe that when the party FAILS him he should replace the offender but remain true to the party in their fight against the Republicans.......the real problem with the Black community.

How do you deal with a people who thinks as such?

1) Move Away? NOPE!!! They say that you have violated THEIR "Social Justice" rights.

2) Allow them to aggregate POWER where they are most concentrated, gaining control, via the democratic process, over more of the government SERVICE AGENCIES that they interact with on a daily basis? (Police, etc) NOPE!!! Once the ideology that they favor blankets an area those of them who can "BEGIN TO MOVE AWAY" to live next door to their enemies.

So WHAT does a person who is interested in their general fate but who is watching DYSFUNCTION in action to do?

ANSWER: Hope and pray that at some point in time those of them who are HONEST WITH THEMSELVES accept what is going on and begin to push back against the ESTABLISHMENT that now occupies the forces of power that THEY so steadfastly fought against. If indeed they don't believe in BLACK INFERIORITY then they will view the BLACK OCCUPANT of that same seat as the one who must be held ACCOUNTABLE rather than always expanding the police tape to find the closest proof of WHITE SUPREMACY to redirect onto, thus drawing upon Black folks' emotions rather than what they KNOW TO BE THE TRUTH.
