Metro Atlanta Business Man (And Father) Killed Execution Style

Body of missing DeKalb exec found near Duluth

(There will be no protests from the usual suspects about this murder of a Black man loyal husband and father of a young daughter)

The body of Marc Stewart, a DeKalb County businessman missing for several days, has been found near Duluth, police said Sunday.

The body of Stewart, 38, of Stone Mountain was found inside a parked Ford Explorer in the 3500 block of Breckinridge Boulevard in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Ilana Spellman said.

Spellman said a passer-by discovered the body about 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

An autopsy will be performed, she said.

Stewart’s MySpace page shows he was president and chief executive officer of Island Coast Entertainment, a 10-year-old event planning company based in Atlanta.

Stewart’s wife, who reported him missing to DeKalb County police, could not be reached for comment late Sunday afternoon. Messages left Sunday evening at Stewart’s business and with friends were not immediately returned.

Stewart was last seen leaving his home about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, driving his Ford Explorer. Spellman could not confirm that Stewart was found inside his own vehicle.

DeKalb police declined to comment Sunday on the discovery of the body and referred inquiries to their counterparts in Gwinnett, who are now investigating the case. Anyone with information about this incident was asked to contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300.
