What if Eric Holder had noted that 96% of all African-Americans voted for the "Black Presidential Candidate" despite the fact that his party, political machine and ideology dominates the present day Black communities? Depsite the complains from the Black community about the condition - they continue to vote as such. How do they justify their voting patterns? Where as the news media was keen on asking "Will WHITE FOLKS vote against their best interests and not vote for the BLACK GUY"...........none of them spoke to the other question that sat in the of the room oosing for attention. If someone can prove to me that the BEST INTERESTS OF BLACK PEOPLE are being served in various failed, Democraticly run cities and counties around America I would love to hear from you.
What If Eric Holder noted that in Minneapolis during the Republican Convention there was an overwhelming presence of White people but little diversity BUT so is the case within the Democratically Dominated Northeastern United States. Whereas a good portion of these Republicans are content with their local surroundings, seeking to MAINTAIN their present condition, the more Progressive areas in the United States are on a constant mantra of "change". Ironically they point to the lack of diversity in the Republican Party, seeking that IT CHANGE, but are themselves too ideologically bigoted to see THEIR OWN NEED FOR CHANGE?
What If Eric Holder took everyone who was listening to his words down to East St Louis Illinois? In this small town that is 97% Black there are gross CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS going on in the year 2009. From witnesses for upcoming murder trials being murdered to the local police force failing to investigate 50 violent crimes, many of them homocides. What if Mr Holder made note that if these crimes were Whites attacking Blacks.......there would be greater protests than we'd seen in Jena LA.......the fact that they were BLACK ON BLACK crimes in large measure makes them not fit for front page printing.
You see - when Eric Holder and other Progressive Demcorats talk about "Revitalizing the Civil Rights Division" of the US Justice Department after 8 years of it being "shuttered" (as MLK III said) they are talking about WHITE ON BLACK assaults.
Roland Martin advocates Eric Holder's position because HE KNOWS THAT HOLDER IS NOT TALKING ABOUT HIM......asking HIM TO CHANGE.
It is quite ironic that there is a strong demand for Blacks to gain entrance into White Social Clubs, White Private Colleges, Executive Suites that have a lily White back drop and White communities. It is quite strange, however, that the one key area where there is a clear SUPPRESSIVE attempt upon Black folks to avoid admission is in the realms of CONSERVATIVE political and economic thought. Despite the fact that Fannie Lou Hamer was spit upon in her attempts to join the Democratic Party and "make it change by working on the inside" their is no such acceptance of any Blacks doing the same today in the Republican Party. Worse yet the key assumption is that it is the Republican Party that needs to change. Nothing is noted about the tremendous gap between what was PROMISED to the Black electorate upon promoting certain individuals into office and the results that are on the street today. There is a strong "Democratic Immunity" at play where they are not held accountable. This is only because of IDEOLOGICAL BIGOTRY among Black people.
From my view from the inside - the biggest CHANGE yet to be demanded by the discourse in America is having THE BLACK COMMUNITY have its deeply embedded IDOLOGICAL BIGOTRY to change. What we often hear labeled as LINGERING RACISM that shows up in disparate outcomes IN TRUTH is the Ideological Bigotry among Black people. Where as the neighboring White Conservative town that they use as a reference model ALSO is governed with a certain set of policies that enforce certain laws and norms.....the same Black community that is crying RACISM in regards to the imbalanced outcomes IS ALSO likely unwilling to deploy some of the governance tactics that has effectively produced this end.
In their Progressive Coccoon they are able to retain their own ideas of what is acceptable and yet blame any imbalance that is had to RACISM.
If Mr Holder had mentioned these facts he no doubt would have UPSET ROLAND MARTIN.
