Perspective On My Ongoing Debate With Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chasers

We do not need to like each other or be friends as a pretext for us agreeing upon a framework for:

• the Acknowledgement that we have substantial problems within our community
• the Acknowledgment that what ever is in place right now AIN'T working at the level of comprehensiveness and timeliness that is required for our general satisfaction
• the Openness and Acceptance to agree upon a GENERAL FRAMEWORK by which new policy initiatives are considered for this CORRECTION/TRANSFORMATION
• the Transparency of a process to MEASURE THE EFFECTIVENESS of each element of this new slate of policy
• the LEVEL-HEADEDNESS to agree to retire that which has proven insufficient while retaining and amplifying that which has been proven in its EFFICACY
• the Willingness to shift the burden of execution of such a plan upon the backs of the people WHO WILL BENEFIT THE MOST both from the attainment of the improved community AND their role in the operation there in DURING THIS PROCESS of attempting to TRANSFORM IT

I get the sense that some people who I frequently debate with believe that the ultimate goal of our exchanges is to remain in and defend our entrenched corners.  

Speaking for myself - THIS IS NOT MY GOAL.  I am a "Black Conservative" because at the present time this is what I see is needed for this elusive change to take place within our community.  This stems from the key fact that once YOU ARE THE POWER which has to deliver for your people the radicalism and revolutionary spirit that got you into the seat of power now needs to be placed in its proper context.  Now that you ARE "the power" that some people want to "speak truth to" pragmatism and management must replace  abstract revolutionary thoughts  and protest.   

In as much as some people are unwilling to make this shift - they place their faith in the rapidly expanding GOAL POSTS of the PERMANENT CHASE milieu that allows them to believe that since they are DOING SOMETHING ACTIVE that they are actually making progress.  Their enemies may have moved out of the voting district....but they are still too close for comfort.  Only when their enemies take a salt water bath with no scuba gear will  some of these people be made to change. This is more so because THEIR ENEMIES will not be a threat to them any longer due to the fact that their enemies have perished.  Instead of the ORGANIC CHOICE to look within having been motivated by preemption and knowldge of self, such an inward move will have to be  triggered by the painful facts of the present circumstances - "There is no one left to chase after".  

 Knowing this faction as I do, however, I suspect that they will soon create their factionalized enemies WITHIN this domain that they now control and thus never miss a beat.  Their antics will remain intact.   All the "Clarence Thomas types" had better look out.  They will be coming after you next as your crime was that you disagreed with them.  

As I take a step back from the various discussions that I get into - in person and in cyberspace I note that there is indeed a big picture framework that most people are operating upon.  The Black community's consciousness has been largely fused to the sensibilities of the American Political system.  In my opinion what originally started out as necessity because our people simply had no representation in government at all has been manipulated by embedded operatives.  These operatives serve  two masters and seek to fusue them both together thus creating a  fatal fusion.  

These agents are able to operate within the nucleus of the Black establishment while never having their "ID cards" checked to confirm who they are working on behalf of.  The fact that the prevailing set of political active Blacks approve of this fusion is the only thing stopping a whistle blower for calling the entire scheme out.

Now some might say: "But you are a Black Conservative and are working for the other side.  Don't try to be a third party narrator here".   I indeed have certain foundational beliefs that are different from those held by Progressive Black folks.  My life experiences indeed have me more more inclined to favor Republican economic and social policies.  I plead guilty.  At the same time I have never campaigned for nor paid a dime to any political candidate - Democrat or Republican.   I consider myself a Conserative Independent.

Another vitally important fact is that - I "eat in my own restaurant".   I live in a community that is dominated by the policies that I actively vote for.  Compare this to the person who is on the  "perpetual chase FOR" certain benefits, seeking to transform their community into something that it is presently not.   I, instead, am working to RETAIN the environment of quality schools, low crime rate, property values and a the general cultural values of the people whom I live around.  One of my debate buddies claims that the conservative seeks to establish an "exclusive enclave" and then make sure to keep all outsiders out.  This statement is true except for the malicious intent that my good friend added to the characterization.

Let's consider the motivations of the Progressive as a perfect corollary to what I just noted about the conservative.  I will seek to refrain from injecting my own bias.  The Progressive, by comparison, is motivated by the perpetual attempt to afford OPPORTUNITY to those who are marginalized by the system.  They are inclined to remove certain policies that are put forth to maintain exclusivity. (certain zoning laws, property ordinances, etc)  They seek more inclusion and diversity as their surface level motivations.  They argue that some people leverage their exclusive positions to subvert others who don't have such traction.  The progressive seeks to establish checks against such power.  I can live with some of their line of reasoning.

Now let me put on my analyst hat and inject my own bias and scrutiny onto the matter.  

Right now I am looking out at my back yard.  I see the section close to my house full of dormant grass that I actively groom and manage.  Beyond that I see wild woods, tall grass and some eroded ground from the run off of rain water coming down the hill.  My sensibilities tell me that there must be a discrete plot line within which I focus my summer time management upon.  I mow, fertilize and place fill dirt in this managed portion of my lawn as this is my responsibility.  I am also imposing the "standard of living" which I want to maintain in this managed space.  I have a rule that no pine trees are allowed in my lawn area as the acidity kills the grass and everything around it.  Likewise I have removed the initial pine straw that I used to place around my trees.  Pine straw was problematic in its own way.  The point of this parallel is that my goal is to form a basic ORDER in my managed area so that the curb appeal is maintained and the plants that are left are not strangled by the weeds.

Most certainly if someone with a contesting rule of order wanted to come along and take what is now wild growth a few lots down from my house and build up a system which is governed by their own rules - they are perfectly able to do so.  Recall as well - my lot was once a heavily forested and weed bearing plot of earth before active management was brought forth to make it what it is.  (and by the way folks - I am not putting on airs.  I am talking about just under 1 acre of land.  Not an estate.)   All that I ask is that this same person be comfortable with all of the results that have been obtained from managing his own plot of land as he saw fit to do.  Herein lies the problem

The frustration that I have with the Progressive is that in the midst of their Permanent Chase for Social Justice - they seemingly fail to make note of the LAND THAT THEY NOW HAVE UNDER MANAGEMENT is of their own making.  Today they are the solid majority in most major urban areas.  In as much as certain portions of their electorate are MOVING OUT OF DODGE....their foot print is GROWING even more.    I know that some of you are tired of me saying "the worst possible circumstance that you all could happen upon is to be ALL ALONE, by yourselves with nothing more than YOUR IDEOLOGY in place to define the standard of living at which you live".  The painful truth about it is that IT IS TRUE.  

I refuse to ignore the key fact that YOUR POLICIES DOMINATE THE BLACK COMMUNITY today.  Incumbency MUST BE held accountable for some measure of the current condition - either "inherited but NOT CHANGED" or that to the extent that errant policies which have been introduced voluntarily have made certain situations worse.  How else do we achieve any measure of CORRECTION if such acocuntablity is not imposed for the sake of TRANSPARENCY?   

What happens today, however, is that the prevailing majority within the Black community simply leverage their vertically integrated power to EXPAND THE POLICE TAPE around a greater crime scene of society.  Thus despite having dominant control of these urban areas - they point to the state or the federal government as the reason why they have failed.  (Please note: I am not talking about "Black Democrats".  I am talking about PROGRESSIVE policies and policy makers - regardless of their color).  How can the Black community achieve a CHECK UPON THEIR GOVERNMENT......when someone is always adjusting the survey stakes which define the plot of land to be managed?  YOU CAN'T accomplsih your goals!!!    Keep in mind, however, the community keeps letting them because the community is complicit in the act.  They prefer people in power who are aligned with their own way of thinking during their AGGRIEVED STATE.  Al the while heartily rejecting people who are in power in the LAND THAT THEY COVET.  This is the DNA-level reason why progressivism is inherently expansive rather than organic.  Progressivism errs on the side of tolerance and anti-establishment while failing to make note of the need, at times, to maintain the integrity of the plot lines so that those inside of it can build and maintain a foundation upon which others who seek to expand it can grow.   

Give the progressive an unmanned plot of land for them to build up a garden of their own and they might .......leave it in its natural state because of their environmental concerns while continuing their efforts to move into their hostile neighbors plot of land.   Indeed the squirrels in this natural plot of land have to live somewhere.
