GuiltFreeWhitey: Why Do Black People Hate The Republicans - Answered

My response to a question that was asked of a poster on the blog "Field-Negro"

You have to understand the power of the entrenched Black Establishment and the Ideological bigotry that is contained with the poplar Black political machine to fully understand the reasons for this adversarial relationship with the Republicans.

First let me take the traction from under my friend Filled Negro's feet by pointing to one courageous Black woman from our past - FANNIE LOU HAMER.

You see GuiltFreeWhitey - back during the 1964 Democratic Convention in Atlantic City Ms Hamer was undaunted by the attempt of the RACIST Democrats to refuse her a seat at the convention. She had her EYES ON THE PRIZE - focusing on the fact that Blacks in Mississippi and elsewhere needed political representation regardless of if the Democrats LIKED BLACKS OR NOT. She traveled to Atlantic City on her own accord and fought for INCLUSION and for RULES CHANGES within the racist Democratic party at the time.

The need for Representation absent embedded forces within the Black community to prevent her from "lowering her dignity" and joining this racist organization allowed her to move forward with her goal. In suffering this insult - she earned her place in history and as a shadow delegate at the Democratic National Convention.

Fast forward to to-damned-day GuiltFreeWhitey. We have in our race DEMOCRATIC OPERATIVES who drive home the point that THE BLACK VOTE MUST NOT BE SPLIT lest we dilute our voting power. These are the words of various "Democrats who are Black" (as opposed to Blacks who simply choose to vote Democrat). They don't mind having the Black vote split among 2 Democrats (Obama and Hillary).....as long as it is within the BLACK GENERAL ELECTION - which is the Democratic Primary. Now keep in mind that if you do choose to go against the favored Democrat as some Hillary supporters did - the left wing extreme movement might attempt to "Republicanify you" as they did with so many Congressional Black Caucus members who stood with them for so long. None the less you are a believed Democrat and will be hugging each other upon the party victory later on as America votes in total.

White people used to ask "Are you are Nigger Love? Do YOU want some of what I am going to give the Blacks?" to the White folks who questioned them as to how they were treating Blacks. In modern day Black America - "Republicanification" serves the same function. It keeps Blacks in line and in the Democratic Party.

GuiltFreeWhitey - even the late Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones was attacked for being a Hillary Supporter. She was called a "Handkerchief Head Negro" for going against the mob rule. Just 2 years earlier she wore a "silk scarf" upon her head as she fought hard to get the Democrats back in control of congress. She told Black folks about how wonderful this would be and the benefits of having several Black Democratic committee heads. (I am still awaiting someone to do a follow up review, detailing all of the benefits that were delivered to our community. Now that NPR's "News & Notes" is headed off the air - I may never heard the followup.).

So lets step back a bit GuiltFreeWhitey - what this shows is that there is a certain self-promoted NUCLEUS within the Black political machine which seeks to DEFINE what all Black people in good standing SHOULD DO.

If you dare to go against them they are going to paint you as a Klan sympathizing, slavery supporting, pro-oppression, child conceived by transmutation from the homosexual relationship between Clarence Thomas and Ward Connerly, who is on the Bush payroll - and that you do in fact secretly lust after the White daughters of those White conservatives who control you.

As I step back and do my analysis GuiltFreeWhitey - this is "UNCHECKED GROUP BEHAVIOR 101". The POWER of the majority to defile and roll over the minority is well documented. Most Black folks look at White racist and/or Soviet style governments, corporations or monied interests as being the forces that do such trampling. In fact - they themselves have learned well from their enemies.

What we have in the Black community is a basic ABSTRACTION from the original purposes that we started our POLITICAL ACTIVISM for. Where as it was originally to secure our basic rights and our ability to be FREE - today it has morphed into the BLOODY TEAM SPORT of POLITICS. They focus on THEIR SIDE winning - regardless of if the community actually benefits from the TEAM'S victory.

Here is the frustrating point that I have been attempting to argue GuiltFreeWhitey:

So much of the Black Progressive activist movement has been to FIGHT AGAINST the establishment (ie: the government) because it has trampled upon our rights, has failed to educate our children, has failed to keep us safe within our own homes. The irony comes in when we look at the places where my people are most concentrated. The statement "Black folks don't vote for Republicans" is not translated into the fact that THERE ARE NO REPUBLICANS RUNNING POLITICAL DISTRICTS WHERE BLACKS MAKE UP THE MAJORITY.

My logic tells me that the COROLLARY should be argued - "That PEOPLE OF OUR OWN POPULAR CHOOSING ARE NOW RUNNING OUR COMMUNITIES" and thus THEY should be held accountable for the delivery of that which they promised.

GuiltFreeWhitey - one final construct that I must introduce to you is that of the "Vertically Integrated Message Machine" that broadcasts to the Black community and thus shapes the messages. Isn't it ironic that the very same progressives who worry about MEDIA OWNERSHIP because the consequences will be the lack of diversity in the MESSAGES don't say a damned thing about what is present within the Black community?

The vertically integrated message machine includes:

* Politicians
* Protesters (Civil Rights orgs)
* Policy Makers (lobbyist groups)
* Press (the Black Press - full of "progressives")
* Performers (singers, rappers, actors)
* Preachers
* Public School Teachers
* Pro-Union Labor forces
* Posters (Bloggers)

Just extrapolate for a moment GuiltFreeWhitey - if Tubbs-Jones and Rangel and Waters - all Democrats were attacked for supporting the Clintons - who THEMSELVES were "good guys" to most Black progressives prior to Obama getting into the race - is there any chance in HELL that a Black person who IS NOT A DEMOCRAT or a PROGRESSIVE will escape the wrath of the 9P's?

I work hard to shift the argument from IDEOLOGICAL LOYALTIES over to THE DELIVERY UPON OUR GOALS. Instead of focusing on the METHODOLOGY and its alignment with what you favor it is important that we MEASURE THE EFFICACY of its ability to DELIVER.

Like all monopolies though the 9P's do not like being QUESTIONED.

The only threat to the 9P's power is the BLACK COMMUNITY who tires of the empty promises and who refuses to continue the RACISM CHASE. The fact that they are ALL ALONE in their communities, HAVE the people who they favor ideologically/politically IN POWER......and YET AND STILL the "Negroes on Stage with a Mic in their Hands" CONTINUE to spew the same messages that are centrally focused on the EXTERNAL CHASE after Republicans/Racists/Conservatives who NO LONGER LIVE AMONG THEM - is going to one day run out of gas.

Sadly though - since the 9Ps have not developed any particular INTERNAL FRAMEWORK for ORGANIC PROGRESSION - the people are more inclined to RIOT as an expression of their frustration than they are to PURGE their current leadership and chart a new course.

Thus the intractability of this anti-Republican force that you ask about is that THE PEOPLE FUNDAMENTALLY HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO but an ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT pathway. Thus those who ARE THE ESTABLISHMENT but who also foment anti-establishment politics have no choice but to MOVE THE GOAL POSTS and hunt down the "conservative establishment" where ever it has departed to.

The Republicans will remain the useful whipping boys until the MASSES start demanding that those who THEY gave power to PRODUCE rather than CHASE.
