American Gangster Exposes Key Black Radical Linkages That The News Media Buried During The Obama Election

I have much respect for the BET series "American Gangster". While seeking to make the case that "hey we have some of our own Al Capones and Tony Sopranos" they in fact do an excellent job in providing context by which many of our existing problems have come to fruition.

Such was the case with the episode that focused on Mutulu Shakur. If you've listened to Black Nationalist radio or speeches as I occasionally do then you've heard the name "Mutulu Shakur" held up high. He is listed by them as a modern day American "political prisoner". He proclaimed that he was fighting for the liberation of his people as he performed the antics that he is charged with back in the day.

In the context of the American 2008 presidential elections I learned some jaw dropping information that led me to believe that the news media in this nation failed in a meaningful way to communicate some key linkages among left wing radical groups.

We all heard about William Ayers and his left wing terrorist group "The Weather Underground" who were responsible for setting off several bombs against "establishment target" in the context of their protests against the Vietnam War. Barack Obama has ties with Ayers and his wife.

"American Gangster" was the first time I had heard of the linkage between "The Weather Underground/ The Weathermen", "The Republic of New Afrika" and "The Black Liberation Army". The later two are left wing Black Nationalist organizations.

I had heard about the bank robbery, the subsequent killing of the police man and the former Black panther who escaped to Cuba as related to the "Black Liberation Army". I had not heard the linkage of these two groups in with the antics of the "Weather Underground" prior to "American Gangster" announcing it.

None of this is a surprise to me though. Just as today's supposed "Hip Hop Revolutionaries" are solidly leftist quasi-socialists who back the Democratic Party - their predecessors in the RNA, the BLA and the Black Panthers were similarly socialist inclined and left leaning. Despite the millions that these Hip Hop artists hold in their pockets - their leftist, socialist roots remain as it connects them to the communities from which they come from. The calculus as to why this is the case is pretty clear.

All of these groups are effectively "anti-authority", "anti-establishment" in nature. The milieu of their movement is the "rage against the machine". The key to their people's salvation is the reversal of order by which the current establishment now holds which is suppressing the full potential of the masses. The money that is hoarded by the capitalistic interests need to be shared with the people.

The primary flaw of all of these groups listed above is that they know not how to manage/govern once they are in power. A rebel/revolutionary must some day put down his protest signs and instead learn the "Roberts Rule of Order" so that they might be successful in the political seats that they now occupy.

It is quite ironic that Barack Obama is now the president. I am not saying that he came up through the ranks of any of these groups. It comes as no surprise that these groups (or the fragments of their membership that remain) are all Obama supporters. They have more hope that this one man and the army of operatives that he places at the control of government will be able to CHANGE the government than they conclude that the inherent nature of this particular government stands against their interests.

Just as I have pointed out several times regarding the Black left extremists who publish "Black Commentator.com" their goal is to milk the cow, not slaughter it. They are required to keep the basic machinations of capitalism alive, just insure that the government skims the cream off of the top and redistributes it for their particular interests.

I fully believe that they realize that a strict implementation of their socialist and anti-conservative dogma would plunge both the economy and the society into anarchy and chaos.

The goals of the "Republic Of New Afrika" prove particularly interesting. They propose to take over the land that presently comprise the state of "South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana". Their argument is that since our ancestors tilled the soil and built up the land that these lands should be partitioned to the Black man of America.

My goal is not to justify or refute their argument in the context of slavery. My only goal is to make reference to the general disposition that these Leftist groups have in regards to the prospects for ever GOVERNING a land of their own. Once again "OPPOSITION TO" does not translate into "MANAGEMENT OF". Some Black folks get off on the notion that 'I know WHO did this to us and they must pay" as being the primary driver for their entire attempt to REPAIR the Black man. This is little more than equating holding a court judgment in hand in which you were awarded $10 million from a homeless man AND there is no marshal service around to help you collect your damages in the first place anyway. I am convinced that many of these leftist groups are more interested in the masturbatory sentiments that they feel from being "RIGHT" than they are interested in ever successfully implementing their agenda. (God help us all if they ever are successful.)

Wouldn't it be more logical to get the masses of Black people to CHANGE their own behavior right NOW while in the context of a nation that can take care of their basic needs (defense, public utilities, etc) and then formulate a set of living conditions by which they outgrow this nation and then choose to split off, having inculcated the key practices for living bountifully prior to their exodus?

Seems too rational for me.
