I will drill down on this specific topic over several posts because I believe that this is critical to debunking the agenda of the "Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism-Chaser" as expressed so clearly by Democratic operative Dr. Ronald Walters per my post last week. It comes as no surprise that the a Black person largely wants the very same thing as any other American - safe streets, good education for his children, the companionship with neighbors who largely share his own values. This is all good.
When we consider the antics of the BQPFRC, however, the dissonance between his ideological/political preferences and his ability to actually EXPRESS SUCH AN ENVIRONMENT via the totality of his thoughts is the key point that needs to be exposed. Where his theories are in place and become the prevailing standard within - so often that which he has sought to customize his community toward while his enemy was resident becomes an environment that he does not favor when it is actually becomes delivered to him.
As a "moral and intellectual supremest" can always pat himself on the back for staying true to his ideals while standing among those who have compromised their own. He can pride himself that he has never excluded anyone for the sake of keeping the life boat that he resides in from sinking from too many bodies. Nor has he ever cast any JUDGMENT upon anyone (besides his evil enemies) in that he knows that he too has skeletons in his own closet and thus might be judged. When he does cast judgment against his adversaries it is because they are pursuing an agenda that is pushing exclusivity and bigotry at the expense of others and thus they must be stopped!
In this mental arrangement he can advocate for maximum opportunity for all because he has nothing to lose in the process. He is drawing from society's resources, which simply are out of symmetry due to a century's worth of oppression. As long as a person who is ideologically aligned with him has good INTENTIONS, the RESULTS that are actually achieved matter little when they fall short from the expected benefits that are to be delivered. Thus he enforces such a relationship with the politicians that he favors. As long as these politicians stay on the "progressive message" they can do little to run afoul of him. Now if they "go rightward" - watch out. (See former US Rep Albert Wynn (D-MD), as a reference. He is a Democrat from Maryland who is out of a job now. Seems that he got a bit too cozy with the "big box stores" that came to town and was defeated by a more consistent leftist. ).
This story would not be complete if I failed to bring the interplay of RACE and IDEOLOGY into the centerpiece of this story. In the mind of the "Black Flight Progressive" he is constantly striving to bring change and justice wherever he lives. As a member of the "Black Middle class" not only does he want the things that I have listed above - he also has the resources to MOVE to where he can CONSUME them. As with any other house shopper - the quality of the schools typically makes up the most significant portion of his housing decision.
EDUCATIONAL CHOICE
In my personal conversations with many of my friends who have made such an exodus they typically use the standardized reporting that the oft hated "NCLB" program has provided everyone (see Great Schools web site) to evaluate just what they are stepping into before they step from where they are presently. He seeks to CONSUME educational excellence via the area that he decides to settle. He is unable to craft such an environment among the area that he seeks to exit despite having a favorable ideological and political environment in place before he exits.
Wait a minute!! Isn't this an "EXCLUSIONARY" move by them to school shop as such? Recall that Barack Obama said "We can't allow inner city kids to trapped in school by themselves. We need to integrate our schools to allow everyone to have the OPPORTUNITY to have a quality education"? If it is wrong for White people to look at schools and then make inferences regarding ACADEMIC RESULTS AND RACE.....how is it any less an offense for the "Black Flight Progressive" to look at these same schools and make an inference based on ACADEMIC RESULTS and CLASS OF BLACK PEOPLE contained within? Their departure from these places create the conditions of concentrated dysfunction. When will they be asked to bear the same burden that they ask SOCIETY to bear? Clearly he is most strident when he suffers no consequence for his ideological fundamentalism.
I have repeatedly mapped out the relationship between the areas where Black people - MY PEOPLE - are most concentrated and the control that they have over the school administrations. Where as over the past 50 years there has been a strident attempt to "fire" the previous school administrations who have failed to educate Black children and replace them with "people who look like us and who care about their education" - for some reason when similarly unsatisfactory results are had by this replacement regime their short fall does not provoke a similar sanction.
Instead we learn that the problem today is the lack of resources as compared with the proverbial "suburb" just right outside of the "police tape". The "Black Flight Progressive" knows that all he needs to do is step outside of the boundary, just as his "White adversary" has done and he too can escape. They were racists in that they did not want to live next to White people........HE, however, is simply moving his family toward OPPORTUNITY.
The truth of the matter is that for the people facing the prospects of being held accountable for the results in these schools they choose to "expand the police tape" in order to escape sanction. If they can get the aggrieved masses to start CHASING process with the battle flag of "equal resources" rather than making note of their in-kind failure - victory is at hand. They as administrators who control the environment within the schools can step off of the stage and into the angry crowd. They can join the angry chorus who demand "Give Us What We Need Have Academic Success!". The diversion is complete!! Change the subject from that which happens inside of the school over to that which is happening in the entire ocean of society and they have won despite the students continuing to lose as they are in pursuit.
Can we be honest here?
There is no internal force within Black America that has been cultivated to control the behavior of Black people. Our institutions are oriented toward SOCIAL JUSTICE by impressing upon forces EXTERNAL TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY. Thus when you listen to Dr Ronald Walters, who is functionally a Democratic Operative that operates within our racial nucleus he crafts terms such as "Derivative Behavior". The concept of "Derivative Behavior" says basically that the dysfunctional behavior of some Black people today is a function of the centuries of oppression that we have suffered in America and beyond. This is not the vocabulary of a people who seek to ENGINEER A CHANGE FOR THEMSELVES as expressed upon THEIR OWN BACKS. These are the words of a people who will seek to have SOCIETY TO CHANGE. Thus with a new FUNCTION written down - in their theory - a new output will be achieved.
The absence of an internal force for "social responsibility" (the photographic negative of civil rights) means that all of our problems are a derivative of the lack of CIVIL RIGHTS of which we continue to be denied. Even when we as Blacks are all by ourselves, in cities that the popular ideology and party controls - the results that might fall short of our expectations will become the shortfall as expressed by greater society. The nerve of them to leave us all by ourselves to fail!!!
How is it that a Civil Rights faction who argues that there are too many Blacks in jail because society has rigged the drug laws against us will ever be expected to set boundaries upon Black society so that certain behaviors are promoted while others are suppressed as the primary means of the expression of a favorable environment for Black people? They are attuned to "SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER" not "BEING THE POWER" which expresses a certain outcome among their people via their seats in the chairs of government.
In my view we as a people are transitioning from one historic interval (ie: the "Civil Rights Movement") into a new one. Often the people living in the intervals are not aware of such transitions. It is the historian of the future that review the public record of the time and apply them to a time line as they apply a narrative. Today's "Speak Truth To Power" faction that dominates the Black community has little in the way of "best practices" that have been developed to actually EXPRESS a society that is favorable to their own people when their people are ALL BY THEMSELVES. This is where the tactics of the PERPETUAL ADVOCATE who creates opportunity by loosening up societal strictures comes face to face with the real need to CHANNEL BEHAVIORS so that more DIRECTED OUTCOMES can be had. These are two separate skill sets.
The Perpetual Advocate in the Black community receives praise as he works against the system.
The Director of Outcomes within the Black community will often get attacked if he dares to centrally ask the Black community to be the primary contributor to its own development.
So what does all of this mean?
When we are "all alone by ourselves" yet still being dominated by the "Speak Truth To Power" faction the reason why the "Black Flight Progressive" moves from these conquered communities to live, yet again, among his ideological adversaries is because he is most comfortable as a CONSUMER of their structure as well as an advocate AGAINST some of the very elements that are most attractive in this same environment. Their INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION is maintained in that they are able to receive the produce from the system which is run by their adversaries yet they are able to resume their ACTIVISM, seeking to customize their new found community toward the one which they departed.
The "Black Flight Progressive" will always move because society is fluid just as well. There are hardly any "Black communities" in America that have always been "Black Communities". Even the fabled Harlem NYC was once a Jewish community long ago.
Ultimately I am not asking him to "stop moving". I am only asking him to BE HONEST WITH HIMSELF.
*Admit that a good portion of the problems with Black community stem from the consequence of our tendency to advocate OUTWARD rather than INWARD.
*Admit that your own racial commitment does not extend beyond the unwillingness of other Black people's willingness to commit to certain standards as well. Once THEY become the prevailing force within a community....you move just the same as the White folks have moved. Why not then focus on MAINTAINING a standard that these fellow Black people in your community are asked to maintain so you don't have to move away from your Democratic Utopia? There is a point in time where you MUST GO RIGHT rather than putting this off onto the greater government to do so while you maintain your ideological and intellectual purity, never having sanctioned anyone.
It is true that YOU have never denied anyone to board your life boat. It is also true that you hop over to a new boat once the totality of your tolerance begins to weigh you down.
