"WHAT ABOUT THE BLACK COMMUNITY, OBAMA?"
Sometimes I believe that there is a grand "Jedi Mind trick" being played in this world, particularly within the Black community.
A group of Black protesters stand up at a political rally and demand that the presidential candidate address problems that are specific to the Black community (from the view of the protesters). It is THESE PROTESTERS who get booed by the greater audience.
Someone get the license plate of that truck that hit me.
I have frequently denoted the differences between Blacks who operate within the scope of the "AMERICAN POLITICAL SYSTEM" and those that operate within the domain of the "BLACK BEST INTERESTS". To be clear - in many people's minds - these two domains are fused into one. In their view as the Democratic Party goes - so goes Black people. They have no clue how wrong they are.
Thus when I hear some "Speak Truth To Power" Blacks disrupt an Obama rally to challenge him on his commitment to the BLACK COMMUNITY's INTERESTS (per their version) and then see the Black Obama "Manhood Protectors" go on the attack against people who are SAYING THE SAME THING AS THEY HAVE BEEN SAYING - I know that we are not long on this Earth.

As I pan the "Obama Black Blog" campaigners I hear the PROTESTERS being attacked. One blog suggests that the BLACK COMMUNITY needs to learn how to listen better when Obama is speaking to them. The audacity of it all!!!
The two key elements that galled me the most from this video snippet, however, was first the low threshold for affirmation and clapping to the smallest and most irrelevant thing that Obama said. It was like a "clap track" was playing for a bad sitcom. Secondly was the fact that Obama took all of the conspiracies put forth by the protester at face value and responded to them rather than challenge the premise.
Take a listen to the video with specific focus on what promoted the audience to break out into wild applause. In this way the audience shows that they value the messenger more than the particular message that is put forth.
Obama accepted the premise that "Black men are being attacked by the police". Sean Bell indeed was killed by the New York City Police Department. Sean Bell was also killed in the context of the enforcement of the handgun laws of NYC in a community that has had problems with illegal guns. Worse yet Obama and the Uhuru protesters did not allege that there was judicial malfeasance demonstrated at the trial of the police officers, only that the VERDICT was out of alignment with what they had expected. Obama's populist leanings would not allow him to challenge this guy.
What we just saw was the "Black, Politically Unattached Far Left" battle against the "Black Democratic Beholden Progressive-Fundamentalists". This "Uhuru" movement seeks pan-Africanism in a manner that is unattached to an American political party - but they are no less quasi-socialist. The "Democrats who are Black" seek development of the Black community by building a powerful Democratic party who will then redistribute the resources of this nation. Both of these groups are leftists. They only seek to accomplish their same ends though different channels.
I have been monitoring the "Black Nationalists" on the local independent public radio station via their shows on the weekend. They are very skeptical about Obama and the entire American political system. Don't get me wrong - they are not going to do anything to sink Obama's ship because they hate conservative Republicans even more. In assuming their role as the "permanent opposition", however, they will remain steadfast in the one skill that they have mastered - PROTESTS!
I don't understand how the same "Democrats who are Black" that are supportive of leftwing protesters who disrupt President Bush and congressional testimony have a problem when their ideological brothers disrupt an Obama speech? I thought that the demand for "CIVILITY" was no reason to remain complicit when there is a wrong going on?
For so long it was the "Black Conservative" who was attacked for his SILENCE as unsavory things went on that impacted Black people. It is clear that the biggest purveyors of SILENCE is the "Democrat who is Black".

Well, while I do not like criticizing my friends on the far-left in public, there is no secret that I have taken serious exceptions to their foolish attacks on Obama. The funny thing is most of them are closet Clinton supporters. Since she could not gain the nomination, a large number of them jumped on the McBush Bandwagon. So, all of a sudden they look more like the far right than the far left. Their real poroblem is self-hatred: they hate anything that an African man succeeds at. The term for that is playa-haters.
What realy gets me, though, is how they urge the gov'ment to attack Sudan which Slick Willy did, of course. And, when we notice their silence in the face of of the zionist attempts to co-opt the new Democratic Party from behind the scenes (probably under Clinton's "leadership") we see their true colors indeed.
