Maybe it's just me? Maybe it is "I" who just doesn't get it? Maybe the bus is moving and I am getting left behind "my people"? Who knows. Time will tell.
Obama won the Iowa caucus!!!! Hooray!!!
I don't "hate Barack Obama". I am not enthralled by him, that's all. If you list the key political issues that I value chances are that his perspective on how to address them will "piss me off" upon listening to them.
Social Security is not an Entitlement - it is an Annuity, Mr. Obama. Increasing the ceiling of the payment to inject more funds only means that the liability to those who paid it in will increase......that is unless they and their spouse DIE SOONER than is anticipated, these excess funds go back into the system rather than into their estate - like a private security would.
Mr Obama - I have heard you say several times that you would be strong on education. You attacked "This Administration" for "shortchanging No Child Left Behind". Clearly this is some talking point crafted by the Democrats that you have been echoing. You see if Bush has "short changed education" and yet ever the NAACP "Crisis" magazine was forced to admit that the Bush Administration has spent more than 12 to 14 BILLION more money year over year than the Clinton Administration - one has to wonder - where were the same attacks by you and the other members of the "Popular Black Political Machine" when your "permanent friend" was in office? We can't afford selective condemnations on issues that are important to Black people such as education.
I am AGAINST "Net Neutrality". Few people can articulate the need for it without expressing their anti-business/anti-capitalistic underpinnings. The failure of Municipal WiFi should show you that these networks are very, very, very expensive to run. Putting government into business does not make sense as a means of bringing evil companies to their knees.
I had you pegged Mr. Obama. That night during the Democratic debate when Wolfe Blitzer pinned you down for a "Yes Or No" answer regarding drivers licenses for illegal immigrants I knew that you would waffle. You see Mr. Obama when it comes to attacks on "the Right of Center" you pull the pin to the grenade and toss it over the wall. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!!!! Body parts from Right wing adversaries go flying. Let GOD himself sort out their bodies. The "collateral damage"? Well they just should not have been standing so close to the adversary you will say.
I knew upon hearing that question about illegals that you thought about all of the various leftwing special interests groups who were on the edge of their seats saying "Please don't attack us Mr. Obama. Don't step upon us for political gain". As you thought about your question you knew that you could NOT answer "Yes Or No". Your are more interested in telling your base what they WANT TO HEAR instead of what they NEED TO HEAR. All that I ask, Mr. Obama is to consider the Black inner city worker. He no doubt is being impacted by illegal immigration.
With your bindings you are able to attack the CORPORATIONS that, I guess, have a sign on the Mexican borders that say "Enter Here" we will give you a free bus ride to any city that you wish. In line with your bondage you attack the CORPORATIONS for hiring these illegals and thus "exploit them". We know that you are not going to look the INDIVIDUAL Mexican illegal immigrant in the face and tell him to GO HOME, go through the process the legal way and THEN we will accept you. This would require you to "GO RIGHT" Mr. Obama and we know that you are not going to do so.
My only appeal for you then is to consider the Black people in the inner city who are forcing you TO CHOOSE. What happens when all of the blame upon the "corporations" the "system", the "federal government" runs out and you are indeed forced to "Go Right" Mr. Obama? Do you have it in you? I have yet to see it.
Your plan for the Iraq War and Afghanistan was - Yes to Afghanistan and no to Iraq. You were opposed to it from day one. You said that you would send troops into Pakistan is necessary. (I wonder if UN "permission" is a pretext for you - that "International Law" thingy and all) Well Mr. Obama - the #2 leader of Al Queda stated several months ago that he would kill the infidel in "Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia". So let's just pretend that your plan to kill Bin Laden had worked....this #2 guy would now be #1. Would we have PEACE right now or would he simply have moved his troops to Afghanistan and Pakistan rather than Iraq.
It seems to me that geography is more important in the DOMESTIC American partisan political debate than it is for the Islamic Fundamentalist. He does not travel with a passport and does not ask permission from the United Nations to fight his wars. Maybe you Al Zahwari was one of the "American enemies" you were planning to meet with during your world tour that you had planned upon election?
I do have to give you credit Mr. Obama. You have some people very motivated. In fact I just re-rented the documentary of RFK from Netflix. It showed the scene of how Black people reacted to him, treating him like a rockstar. This was so much the case that this "white man" asked his "white campaign manager" to ride with him in his limousine through a Black community just to see the type of EMOTIONAL response that he got from the Blacks.
Maybe its' me Mr. Obama. I will not be "one of those Blacks" waiting on the side of the road, getting my emotional fix by the presence of another man riding by me. For some this is "player hating", I know. But for me and my perspective - I no longer will allow my personal METHODOLOGY of how one gets from point A to point Z be taken away from me as I allow the preacher to tap me on the forehead, pushing me back into the waiting arms of his assistant and I not only am able to SEE now but I now stand on POINT Z!
It is my view that some of my Black brothers and sisters prefer other Black people who AGREE with them but can't articulate WHY they do to a greater extent than they appreciate Black folks who DISAGREE with them and can soundly articulate WHY they don't. If my skepticism of you makes you a better candidate in the future - good for you.
I don't hate you.
I just don't agree with much of your methodology for achieving your ends.
I am not an "audacity of hope" type of guy. I am into GPS and roadmaps.
